Dear Friends,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you here tonight for a
very special evening of hope and celebration. I am pleased to have
been able to Co-Chair this event with Mayor Bob Chiarelli, as both
of us know first-hand the effects of cancer on an individual and
their families. With love, support and encouragement, early diagnosis
and treatment, cancer can be beaten. It is so vitally important
to constantly raise awareness and money in the ongoing battle against
breast cancer and all cancers. Enjoy your evening and hug a teddy
bear!
Jacquelin Holzman
Chairman, Ottawa Congress Centre
Dear Friends,
On behalf of my colleagues on City Council and the 785,000 residents
of Ottawa, and as Co-Chair of "An Evening with Abigail,"
I am very pleased to extend greetings to everyone gathered here
tonight for an exceptional and unique fundraiser. The brainchild
of Dr. David and Rochelle Greenberg, "An Evening with Abigail"
will raise much-needed money for cancer research at the Ottawa Regional
Cancer Foundation. I am proud to have been able to play a small
role in helping to realize this very special evening of caring and
hope. I would like to thank all the artists, sponsors, donors, volunteers,
and committee members, also the Greenbergs, my Co-Chair Jackie Holzman,
and all of you for helping in the fight against breast cancer and
all women's cancers.
Mayor Bob Chiarelli
As the Chief Executive Officer of the Cancer Foundation, I want
to encourage you to support "An Evening with Abigail."
Only through the efforts of the tremendous team of researchers working
together with the Cancer Foundation physicians will a cure for breast
cancer and all women's cancers become a reality.
Dr. Hartley S. Stern
CEO, Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation
An Evening with Abigail is one of the most successful fundraising
events that the Foundation has ever had. It's a magical evening.
